  • PhantomPay isn’t open yet. This website and its waitlist let you learn about it and sign up to hear when it opens.
  • The cards, charges and alerts shown on the Site are illustrations with sample data, not real cards or financial activity.
  • Using PhantomPay itself, once it launches, will be governed by separate account terms.
  1. Agreement to these terms

    These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and PhantomPay (“PhantomPay”, “we”, “us” or “our”) about your use of phantompay.ca (the “Site”) and the PhantomPay waitlist. By using the Site or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

  2. PhantomPay is not yet available

    The PhantomPay service is not yet available to the public. The Site describes the product we are building and invites you to join the waitlist.

    Everything shown on the Site, including virtual cards, card numbers, merchants, charges, subscriptions, alerts and conversations with Casper, is an illustration using sample data. None of it is a real card, account or transaction, and nothing on the Site is an offer of financial services.

    When PhantomPay launches, using it will be governed by separate account terms, which may include the terms of our banking and card-issuing partners. Features may change before launch.

  3. The waitlist

    Joining the waitlist is free and does not create an account or any obligation to use PhantomPay. It does not guarantee access, or access by any particular date. We may invite people in any order, and eligibility requirements, such as age, Canadian residency and identity verification, may apply when PhantomPay opens.

    Please give us an email address you are entitled to use. You can leave the waitlist at any time.

  4. Using the Site

    You agree not to:

    • use the Site in a way that breaks any law or the rights of others;
    • interfere with the Site’s operation or security, or try to access parts of it you are not meant to;
    • collect information from the Site with automated tools such as scrapers, except for search engine indexing;
    • join the waitlist with someone else’s email address or false information.
  5. Intellectual property

    The Site and its content, including the PhantomPay name and logo, Casper, text, designs and software, belong to PhantomPay or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, modify or distribute its content without our written permission.

    Other companies’ names and logos shown on the Site, such as the merchants on sample cards, belong to their owners. They are used only to illustrate how PhantomPay works and do not mean those companies are affiliated with or endorse PhantomPay.

  6. Feedback

    If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve PhantomPay without any obligation to you.

  7. Third-party services and links

    The Site links to services we do not control, such as our waitlist form (provided by Buildform) and LinkedIn. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

  8. Disclaimers

    The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about the Site, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or free of errors. Nothing on the Site is financial, legal or tax advice.

  9. Limitation of liability

    To the extent the law allows, PhantomPay will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of the Site or the waitlist.

    Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived or limited by agreement.

  10. Changes to the Site and these Terms

    We may change or stop offering any part of the Site or the waitlist at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. If you keep using the Site after an update, the updated Terms apply.

  11. Governing law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You and PhantomPay agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, sitting in Toronto, for any dispute about these Terms or the Site, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

  12. General

    These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and PhantomPay about the Site. If any part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, that is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.
